Product Description
Product Overview

Coastal dredging and offshore terminal works in Nigeria, Ghana and Angola operate in warm, biologically active seawater where ordinary steel fasteners corrode quickly and plastic shells degrade under constant ultraviolet exposure. The JiuBei JBF-OM600 offshore marine dredging hose floats are saltwater engineered DN600 buoyancy collars designed for floating discharge and suction hose lines on marine sand winning, harbor deepening and oil terminal approach channel projects. Each collar uses a marine grade UV stabilized HDPE shell closed around a saltwater tested polyurethane foam core, with stainless steel 316 hardware throughout so that nothing on the float corrodes in tropical marine service.

The JBF-OM600 collar profile has been refined for open water behavior. A smooth, slightly domed outer surface sheds marine growth and reduces wave slap, while the wide footprint prevents pipeline roll in beam seas. Hose strings supported by these floats follow wave motion without point loading, which protects both the rubber hose carcass and the bolted flange connections. Dredging contractors along the Gulf of Guinea and the wider West African coast use this float set on lines feeding sand to beach replenishment sites and on temporary pipelines serving offshore loading operations.

Key Features
  • Saltwater Certified Materials: Shell pigments, foam formulation and hardware are selected and tested for warm seawater immersion, with no galvanic corrosion paths.
  • Stainless Steel 316 Hardware: Bolts, nuts, washers and hinge pins are marine grade 316 stainless, immune to pitting in chloride rich environments.
  • Marine Growth Shedding: The smooth low friction shell surface reduces barnacle and algae accumulation, keeping buoyancy and handling weight stable between cleanings.
  • Wave Adaptive Profile: Rounded geometry and optimized water plane area let the collar ride swells smoothly, cutting fatigue on hose end fittings.
  • Constant Buoyancy Core: Closed cell foam cannot flood or waterlog, so a damaged outer shell does not translate into a sinking pipeline section.
  • Full Hose Size Range: The same marine grade design is manufactured for hose diameters from DN250 to DN900 on request.

Applications

The JBF-OM600 serves the full range of West African marine construction: harbor deepening in Lagos and Tema, sand winning for land reclamation along the Nigerian coast, maintenance dredging in the Niger Delta channels, and discharge lines for offshore oil terminal projects in Angola. The collar also suits ferry terminal approaches and coastal protection schemes where hoses cross surf zones. Because the float opens around installed hoses, operators can retrofit existing pipeline systems without pulling the line ashore. In areas with strong tidal currents, the low drag profile reduces anchor and mooring loads on the hose string, and the high visibility orange color keeps the pipeline identifiable to fishing vessels and port traffic.

Packaging & Quality Assurance

Every JBF-OM600 pair is hydrostatically buoyancy tested and inspected for shell integrity before packing onto steel frame pallets with heavy duty lashing. Hardware sets are packed in corrosion inhibited bags. We issue batch test certificates, material certificates for stainless hardware, and full loading documentation to support clearance at West African ports. A dedicated export team coordinates shipments to Lagos, Tema, Luanda and other regional ports, and technical staff remain available for installation support after delivery.
